Above The Influence
Above the Influence, the teen brand of the National Youth Anti-Drug Media Campaign, includes a Web site and TV and print advertising. The Above the Influence campaign reflects what teens across the country have said is going on in their lives.  The primary goal of the campaign is to help teens stay “above the influence” of drugs and alcohol.  The more aware teens are of the negative influences around them, the better prepared they’ll be to stand up to the pressures that can lead to risky behaviors.  Research shows that while teens don’t want to be told what to do, they are looking for facts and information that can help them make good choices.  Ultimately, teens need to make their own smart decisions and Above the Influence is designed to support anti-drug behavior.

Parents. The Anti-Drug.
Experts agree that practical parenting skills that can help prevent a wide range of risky behaviors, including substance abuse among teens, can lead to healthy, well-adjusted youth. The Media Campaign’s Web site for parents, www.TheAntiDrug.com, provides practical tips on how to stay involved with your teen as she or he becomes more independent. Whether single or married, a mom or a dad, a grandparent or other caregiver, this site has information which can help prevent and address teen drug use.

Bridging the Parent-Teen Generation Gap
