Joseph Grenny, Co-author, Crucial Conversations: Tools for Talking

Joseph Grenny is co-founder of VitalSmarts, an innovator in organizational performance and corporate training, and best-selling author of Crucial Conversations and Crucial Confrontations. Mr. Grenny has also been instrumental in researching methods for driving rapid, sustainable, and measurable change in behaviors. Training products resulting from Mr. Grenny's work at VitalSmarts have been used by more than 500,000 people worldwide and translated into more than 20 languages.

Mr. Grenny was formerly president of California Computer Corporation and an executive for the Covey Leadership Center. For more than 20 years he has worked with and taught hundreds of thousands of leaders. Mr. Grenny has been an advisor to CEOs and senior executives on more than a dozen major culture change initiatives.

Mr. Grenny also co-founded Unitus, a non-profit organization that has helped over a half-million people in developing countries achieve economic self-reliance through the miracle of "microcredit." He is the father of six children and lives in Orem, Utah.
